Greetings Warrior Families,

Spring has arrived and flowers are blooming! And we finally have students walking in the hallways and more importantly, sitting in classrooms where they are learning directly from their teachers. Approximately 55% of our students have chosen to come in to school for hybrid afternoons every other day. 62% of our 9th grade students have started their in-person journey. While we have had many students in school for support services since October, it has been great to see the launch of our hybrid program with additional students present. For those students who are remaining in the virtual instruction model, it is critical that these students are present with their teachers every day and that they take advantage of the time they have on Wednesdays.

For students coming to in-person supports in the afternoons, remember to wear your mask everyday all day. Our students have been fantastic about wearing masks and walking in one direction around the hallways but as spring gets warmer it will be easy for students to forget and let things slip. But these are healthy habits that we will be maintaining throughout hybrid instruction. Also, we need to make sure we are all maintaining those six-foot spaces.

We have a lot of things going on here at CPHS to help students connect to school- even in the midst of hybrid learning. In all things, our primary focus is improving academic achievement for all of our students. We still need to do a lot of work on improving attendance. This is especially true during 4th quarter as our students complete courses and, prepare for Advanced Placement tests, study for final exams and ultimately finish the year strong- whether they are graduating seniors or are preparing for next school year. The 4th quarter is where real Warriors are made and the quality of their character is made evident. Let’s make sure that our students have the opportunity to shine!

Be sure to check our website for all of the upcoming events because there are many of them. Some highlights include the following:

Spring Break- April 5th through the 9th

Smarter Balanced Testing- TBD

Saturday School Schedule: TBD but they are coming!!

Athletic events are on-going. Tonight, our Lady Warriors take on Franklin Pierce in volleyball and the soccer team is traveling to Eatonville. Tomorrow night, April 26th the football team travels to FIFE. Many of our Warrior teams are experiencing great success- come out and cheer them on! If you can’t attend in person, check them out on the NFHS Network. Check out the Warrior Athletics website for further details and links to the games.

As always, it is a privilege to serve our Warrior Community
