Graduation Requirements
Credit Check
Students who have been at Clover Park all 4 years need 30 credits to graduate and students who transferred into Clover Park throughout their high school career need may require a different number of credits and can check with their counselor or on their Senior Letter to know the correct amount. To check on your student’s credits, or turn in other graduation related forms, email Roxanna Vasques ([email protected]) or call 253-583-5511 to schedule an appointment.
Parents and students can also keep track of student grades by frequently checking grades in Skyward. Parents and students can access Skyward from the district website www.cloverpark.k12.wa.us by selecting Families or Students then Skyward.
Please Note: If parent’s email is not on file in our system, that email must be provided to our counseling office secretary, Ms. Christensen ([email protected], 253-583-5522) and entered into Skyward in order to receive initial log in instructions.
Graduation Pathway
A graduation pathway is how students prove to the state that they are college and career ready. There are many ways for students to meet this graduation requirement, but each student’s pathway needs to align with their future plans. Some options are tied to standardized testing, while others are based on grades in their classes. Each student has to meet their Graduation Pathway in ELA and Math in order to graduate. Students will receive a “Graduation Pathway Selection Form” in Advisory and review it with parents and guardians at SLCs. These signed forms must be turned in as proof of their High School and Beyond Plan.
High School and Beyond Plan
Along with credits, and graduation pathway, all Seniors must present a High School and Beyond Plan as proof that they have a plan for next year and that they have done what they needed to do in order to be successful in their plan after high school. Some examples of what goes into the HSBP are resumes, career research, applications, and budgeting documentation. Students get support with this requirement in Advisory and review their progress with parents and guardians at the SLCs. Some of the things needed for evidence in the HSBP have been worked on for the past three years in Advisory, while some things are being done this year.. Seniors will present their HSBP to you during Spring SLCs this year. This is mandatory for graduation.

Senior Checkout
Seniors must complete a checkout process to be eligible to graduate and walk in the commencement ceremony. To complete a successful checkout, you must (1) be passing all classes required per your graduation plan; (2) have met all Washington State graduation requirements including the High School and Beyond Plan and graduation pathway, (3) turned in all technology and paid all fines. Senior check out will happen June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Students must check out in person.
Student Led Conferences
Student led conferences are very important in your senior year. In the Fall, you meet to ensure you are on track for graduation and preparing your plans for after high school. In the Spring, March 12th -14th, all seniors must present their High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP). The HSBP is a graduation requirement, and all students will be scored using a rubric that they will need to pass to meet this requirement. Seniors will work on the HSBP and Xello portfolio throughout their Senior year in Advisory class.
Xello
Xello is an online platform where Seniors are expected to create a portfolio that stores all of their High School and Beyond Plan requirements. Students can access Xello through the Clover Park School District website under the student tab. Additionally, students using the Common App to apply to college should connect their Common App and Xello so school staff can help upload any required forms/documents to complete their applications. A guide on how to do this will be shared to staff and posted in the class teams page and Xello resources.
